Meghan Markle Didn’t Go To Balmoral After Queen’s Death
All the members of the British Royal Family reached Balmoral Castle on Thursday when the monarch took her last breath. All but Meghan Markle decided to not go at that time.
According to a source on Page Six, tensions were too high for her to attend and the plan of her accompanying her husband, Prince Harry, was scrapped.
“Tensions were so high and there was no way Meghan could have gone to Balmoral,” the source said. “The fact the Sussex camp did say both Harry and Meghan were going, and then quickly retracted that statement, will tell you everything you need to know about the drama behind the scenes.”
The insider said: “Harry and Meghan do hate being separated from each other, so being alone in Scotland will have been very hard for Harry. No wonder why he left so early.” Markle met with Harry on Friday morning at their Windsor home. Harry will stay until his grandmother’s state funeral planned to take place on September 19.
Meghan Markle Earlier Opened Up About Leaving The Monarchy
A few days ago, Meghan gave an explosive interview where she talked about leaving the monarchy and the media’s coverage of her relationship with Harry.
The ‘Suits‘ actress talked about the British media asking for her children’s pictures. “Why would I give the very people that are calling my children the N-word a photo of my child before I can share it with the people that love my child?”
During the interview, Markle said the couple had offered to move to a Commonwealth country after it was impossible for them to stay in Britain.
She said: “just by existing, we were upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy. So we go, ‘OK, fine, let’s get out of here. Happy to.” They stepped down as the royal members last year.
