Ryan Reynolds has brightened the day of a superhero fan from Newcastle who is only 13 years old. Ryan sent him a surprise as the boy is recovering from open heart surgery.
Due to a congenital cardiac problem, Seb Hollingsworth had to have surgery when he was a newborn. More recently, he had surgery once more in the operating room in an effort to enhance the function of his heart.

Ryan Reynolds Surprises Young Fan After Open-Heart Surgery
Post-surgery, Ryan Reynolds sent a video message of support to an adoring fan who was 13 years old at the time. A “Marvel Studios Superhero” was summoned by Whitley Bay, England resident Ivan Hollingsworth on Twitter earlier this week to send a message to “our Heart Hero Seb,” his little son who had had the treatment. Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds was the only one to respond.

“You can call me Deadpool, you can call me Green Lantern. Call me anything you’d like. Call me maybe! I don’t mind,” Reynolds said. “I hear you’ve been going through it pal, and it sounds like you’ve got a ton of amazing people who are in your corner and who love you very much.”
Reynolds further added, “I just want to send my good wishes and send you all my love, and I hope I can see you in person one of these days pal. Hang in there, you’re doing amazing and I’m super proud of you, alright Seb?
Recovering from his operation, Sebastian is presently being cared for at the Newcastle Hospital. Congenital cardiac condition necessitated “life-saving” surgery at the age of four months for him to survive. The family was informed of the need for a second operation around the time of Christmas last year.
Reynolds Was Just The Right Celebrity To Send The Video
According to ITV News, Ivan said that Reynolds was the ideal celebrity to answer his tweet, and Ivan then shared a photo of Seb’s room that had posters of Reynolds as Deadpool and his upcoming 2021 film Free Guy in response to that statement.
He stated, “It’s hard to explain how he feels because he is so so exhausted but it really meant the world to him. Ryan has since sent another follow-up video which I can’t share, but it definitely made him chuckle. It’s just amazing that he’s taken the time to do it, and it’s not just for show, it means a lot.”
