2022 San Diego Comic-Con witnessed a bunch of exciting announcements from Marvel. But the one thing that was most exciting for fans was the announcement of Marvel Phase 6. On top of that, Marvel announced that phase 6 will end with much-awaited Avengers 5 and 6, namely ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.
The announcement of a new Avenger film sent Marvel fans into a frenzy, the main reason for this is the absence of any Avenger film in Phases 4 and 5. Building further on the hype, Marvel recently confirmed that ‘Shang-chi’ director Destin Daniel Cretton will direct ‘Avengers 5’. Simu Liu, who played the lead in ‘Shang-chi,’ has reacted to this news. So, what did he say?

‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ director Destin Daniel Cretton has grabbed one of the biggest MCU projects. After the official announcement, ‘Shang-Chi’ star Simu Liu was one of the first people to congratulate Destin. He didn’t hesitate to show his excitement regarding the matter on Twitter.
“Three years ago at SDCC 2019 Destin and I sat backstage at Hall H watching some of the most famous people on Earth take the stage,” Liu wrote on Twitter. “We looked at each other like ‘damn, is this really happening to us right now?’ IT’S F**KING HAPPENING BROTHER!”
Kevin Feige Has Full Confidence In Jonathan Majors’ Skills As An Actor
Previously in an interview, Marvel President Kevin Feige openly admitted that he feels relaxed knowing that Jonathan Majors has taken the lead to shoulder the entire multiverse saga.
“It comes down to the cast and with Jonathan Majors, who I think took over the Hall H stage, you know, in the three minutes he was up there,” Feige said. “It’s amazing, and I said to him there’s nobody’s shoulders I’d rather be putting the multiverse saga on than his. This is really impressive what Jonathan Majors is able to do and all the different incarnations, variants, if you will, of Kang that we will see him do. It’s really pretty cool.”
He added, “What I love is that he’s totally different from Thanos. That he is completely different. That it’s not just how about there’s a bigger purple guy with a helmet? That’s not what Kang is. Kang is a very different type of villain and the fact that he is many, many different characters is what’s most exciting and most differentiates him.”
