What Is ‘Strike Force Five’ About?
The who’s who of the late-night talk show hosts have teamed up for a podcast. And it will be one of the biggest team-ups in Hollywood probably just after the Avengers! Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers and John Oliver are ready to bring to the viewers ‘Strike Force Five’.
This limited-series podcast has been announced by Spotify and it will see the five talk show hosts “navigate the Hollywood strikes and beyond.” Interestingly, the idea of this podcast was conceived over a Zoom call.
Colbert, Fallon, Kimmel, Meyers and Oliver decided to meet once a week to talk about the serious effects of the industry work stoppage. But when the five of them are together it can never be serious. So instead the idea became aboyt “a series of hilarious and compelling conversations.”

All Proceeds From The Series Will Go To The Late-Night Show’s Staff
‘Strike Force Five’ will most likely have 12 episodes and will be presented by Mint Mobile and Diageo. Some details have been revealed about the format of the show. All five talk show hosts will be participating in each episode.
Since the productions on late-night shows were the first to be shut down at the beginning of the writers’ strike, the workers have been affected a lot. So all the proceedings from this podcast will go to the staff. Five shows have been chosen which are – ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert‘, ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live‘, ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers‘ and ‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver‘.
