Piers Morgan advised Amber Heard to “stop playing the victim” after she lost a defamation lawsuit filed by her ex-husband Johnny Depp. The 36-year-old defendant discussed the six-week trial that was held in Fairfax County, Virginia, from April 11 to June 1, 2022, with Savannah Guthrie of NBC News. Piers Morgan Criticizes Amber Heard’s ‘Unfair’ Social Media Representation Comment
Since the public was glued to the televised defamation trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, the ‘Aquaman‘ actress felt that social media negatively impacted the jury. In her latest interview, she questioned the way the trial was portrayed on various social media platforms.
“Even somebody who is sure I’m deserving of all this hate and vitriol, even if you think that I’m lying, you still couldn’t tell me — look me in the eye and tell me — that you think on social media there’s been a fair representation,” Heard stated.
Tweeting a video clip of the interview, broadcaster Piers Morgan, who is known for his forthright opinions on a wide range of subjects, wrote, “The jurors didn’t read any of the social media stuff, they listened to the evidence & concluded she was lying. I suggest it’s time for Ms Heard to stop playing the victim.”

Amber Heard Says She Doesn’t Take Social Media Attacks Personally
The actress further claimed that she does not take it personally when she sees herself being portrayed in a negative way on social media sites. “I don’t care what one thinks about me or what judgments you want to make about what happened in the privacy of my own home, in my marriage, behind closed doors,” she said. “I don’t presume the average person should know these things. And so I don’t take it personally.”
