‘True Detective: Night Country’ is surely expected to bring some mysterious storyline like the original show, where detectives Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as two very opposite personalities are working on a long-abandoned homicide case to solve the case in Louisiana.
It will be based on the sudden disappearance of eight men in Alaska and considering the weather of the place, there are a lot of things that we can expect to see.
The upcoming show is set in the small town of Ennis, Alaska. It will unveil all the hidden truths and dark pasts of eight men who were employed at the Tsalal Arctic Research Station and vanished suddenly during the long winter night without any explanation.

‘True Detective: Night Country’: Cast, Release Date And Other Details
According to sources, the upcoming show is planned to be a little different from the original show since the makers have decided to cast female artists in the lead roles. Kali Reis and Foster have been cast to play the lead characters and other cast members joining them include Joel D. Montgrand, Isabella Star Lablanc, Anna Lambe, Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, Aka Niviâna, Christopher Eccleston, and John Hawkes.
The original show ‘True Detective’ debuted in 2014 and has been praised by critics and audiences. The production for ‘True Detective: Night Country’ has begun already but there are no updates from the makers if they have finished filming so far. Production began a long time back in Iceland and the official release date for ‘True Detective: Night Country’ is yet to be revealed. It is reportedly coming out in the fall of 2023.
The executive producers include Jodie Foster, Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, Mark Ceryak, Mari Jo Winkler, Steve Golin, Richard Brown, Alan Page Arriaga, and Cary Joji Fukunaga. Issa López will serve as the showrunner.
