While Spears has been in the headlines for her conservatorship since 2022, she is now in the spotlight once again after she was reportedly assaulted in Vegas on July 5, 2023. This happened after a member of NBA phenom Victor Wembanyama’s security hit her in the face.

Britney Spears Files Police Complaint After The Assault Incident
The assault incident happened at Catch Restaurant inside the Aria Hotel at around 8:30 p.m. It started when Britney Spears went inside the restaurant for dinner accompanied by her husband Sam Asghari and two other individuals. While Spears was entering the place, there was a huge crowd that gathered to have a glimpse of her.

This is the time when Spears also spotted Victor Wembanyama and approached him to ask if she could click a picture with him. While she tapped him on the back, the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs slapped her and she fell to the ground, knocking off her glasses.
Spears returned to her table and the security came and apologized to her. According to sources, the security did not know her when he slapped her. Britney’s security team had a word with Victor’s security and has filed a complaint with the Metropolitan Police Department on charges of battery.

The Security Guard Who Hit Britney Spears Has Been Identified
Sources have revealed that Britney Spears and Las Vegas police are going to meet each other to discuss the entire incident. According to the surveillance footage, the security pushed away Britney’s hand and hit her in the face.
The police officers did not speak anything about the intensity of the slap. Law enforcement sources have revealed that the individual who slapped Spears was Damian Smith, the Director of Team Security for the Spurs.
Spears has released nine studio albums so far alongside 50 singles. Her debut album, ‘…Baby One More Time’ was released in January 1999.
