Meghan Markle Faced Threats In The UK
Both the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex have been at the receiving end of a lot of hate from the Royal family supporters. However, there was actually a threat to her.
In an interview with Channel 4 News, Anil Kanti ‘Neil’ Basu, the former head of counterterrorism for the Metropolitan Police in London, has made some shocking claims.
He stated that Markle faced several credible threats while living in the United Kingdom. Basu said that “disgusting and very real” threats were made against the couple. “I’ve talked publicly for many years about the threat of extreme right-wing terrorism in this country,” he explained.
Basu then called it the UK’s “fastest-growing” threat. “If you’d seen the stuff that was written and you were receiving it — the kind of rhetoric that’s online — if you don’t know what I know, you would feel under threat all of the time.”

Harry Has Talked About Keeping His Family Safe From Harm
Basu said in the interview that he and his team investigated the threats and prosecuted a number of people who were involved in them. In the past, Prince Harry has talked about keeping his wife and kids away from harm.
In the Apple+ TV documentary ‘The Me You Can’t See‘, Harry said that he feared for his wife because of the way the media treated his mother Princess Diana up until her tragic death.
“History was repeating itself,” the Royal said. “My mother was chased to her death while she was in a relationship with someone who wasn’t white, and now look what’s happened.”
He continued, “You want to talk about history repeating itself? They’re not gonna stop until she dies.” After stepping down from their royal duties, Meghan and Harry’s security was removed.
