Elon Musk is known for his innovative ideas and his fascination with space. He is the owner of SpaceX, a company that manufactures spacecraft and is also involved in satellite communications. It has created several things including the satellite internet constellation, Starlink.
Recently, Musk has been in the news for his Twitter acquisition. But apart from that, SpaceX’s Starship has also been creating headlines. His company has been developing it and this vehicle could change space travel forever in the near future. So let’s find out the details of Starship.

Everything About Elon Musk’s Starship
Elon Musk-owned SpaceX is developing a space vehicle called Starship. The super heavy lift vehicle has a reusable transport system and is built to carry around a hundred people to Mars. Musk had planned to launch it on April 17 but it had to be postponed.
According to a BBC report, they had to postpone the launch because of a pressurization issue. Musk has planned to relaunch it later this week after fixing all the issues. “It’s the first launch of a very complicated, gigantic rocket, so it might not launch. We’re going to be very careful, and if we see anything that gives us concern, we will postpone the launch,” he wrote.
The combined system of Starship is around 120m tall and it includes a top body called Super Heavy. There are six highly efficient Raptor engines in the machine that were in the making for 10 years. The propeller tanks have liquid methane (CH4) and liquid oxygen (O2) that travel to the Raptors and its combination is called methalox.

Musk Wants To Colonize Mars
Musk has been vocal about Mars colonization and plans to achieve it in a couple of years. The space vehicle is designed to work as a jet airliner for space travel. He also plans to build cities on the red planet.
Musk founded SpaceX because he believes in multi-planetary civilizations. In 2016, the billionaire said that we won’t be able to live on Earth forever. “History is going to bifurcate along two directions. One path is we stay on Earth forever, and then there will be some eventual extinction event,” he said.
He further added: “The alternative is to become a spacefaring civilisation and a multi-planet species, which I hope you would agree is the right way to go.”
