Well, it’s time to say goodbye to ‘The Vampire Diaries‘ from Netflix. The much loved Vampire-romance-action series bid adieu to the streaming platform yesterday, September 3, and the saddest part is that it is not even available on Hulu.
The vampire series star Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley, and premiered in the year 2009, and ran till 2017. The eight seasons show originally aired on CW, but now, with so many streaming platforms, the show got exposed to an even larger audience. With its departure from Netflix, here are other platforms where you can still enjoy and continue with the show.

Alternative Streaming Platforms To Watch ‘The Vampire Diaries’
Shows which have aired on CW have often found a new home on HBO Max. The agreement between these two outlets has proved promising and according to Collider, HBO Max will add all eight seasons of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ to its streaming library on Sept. 4, 2022.
Previously, we’ve witnessed that the CW/HBO Max streaming deal has led to a number of newer CW shows like ‘Batwoman,’ ‘Nancy Drew,’ ‘Walker,’ and ‘Superman & Lois’ debuting on the streaming platform. Apart from this, Amazon and Vudu also stream the show, so one can purchase a membership on these platforms and watch the show there!

A TVD Spin-off Is In The Works
‘The Vampire Diaries’ spin-off series, ‘Legacies‘ aired its final episode on May 12, 2022. Following its end, creator Julie Plec teased a new spin-off. Speaking to TVLine, she shared her thoughts on expanding the TVD universe, “This is the end of one chapter, but we can use it to launch the beginning of another chapter, which is ultimately what we want to do when all is said and done.”
She further added, “There’s absolutely hope for the future. [Executive producers] Brett [Matthews] and Kevin [Williamson] and I have an idea percolating in our brains that we just haven’t had the time to put down on the page yet. But we definitely want to do another branch of the tree. It’s just a matter of when I guess.”
