Well-known British actor Julian Sands has not returned home since January 13, 2023. His family reported him missing the same day after he went to Mount Baldy, California for hiking.
The authorities also launched a search operation but they did not continue anymore after the weather conditions took a worse turn. But the search continued with helicopters and drones and the groundwork will also continue once the weather condition gets better.

What Happened To Julian Sands?
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s department reported that the Baldy Bowl area is a permanent spot for hikers. They have previously issued warnings to hikers regarding the weather conditions of the area and the authorities have previously conducted search operations for missing hikers in the last few weeks.
A spokesperson for the sheriff’s department Nathan Campos stated, “On Friday, 13 January, at about 7:30 p.m., a hiker, identified as 65-year-old Julian Sands of North Hollywood was reported missing in the Baldy Bowl area.”

Julian Sands Career
Julian Sands has appeared in various films and TV shows but he is mostly known for portraying George Emerson in the 1985 romantic film, ‘A Room with a View.’ The film was a box office success with collections of around $21 million. He has also voiced the character of Valmont in the animated show, ‘Jackie Chan Adventures‘ and appeared in other films like ‘Privates on Parade’, ‘Oxford Blues’, ‘After Darkness’, ‘Siesta’, ‘The Sun Also Shines at Night’, ‘Crazy in Love’, ‘Witch Hunt’, and more.
The 65-year-old has appeared as Vladimir Bierko in 11 episodes of the drama series ‘24‘. He has played minor roles in shows like ‘Castle’, ‘Dexter’, ‘Gotham’, and ‘Elementary’.
Julian Sands’s last appearance in a film before he went missing was when he played the role of Chief Medical Officer in the biographical romantic drama film, ‘Benediction‘, which was released on September 12, 2021, at the TIFF. Directed by Terence Davies, the film received positive reviews from critics and audiences. The cast also included Jack Lowden, Peter Capaldi, Simon Russell Beale, Jeremy Irvine, Calam Lynch, Tom Blyth, Kate Phillips, Geraldine James, Gemma Jones, and Ben Daniels.
