Who Was Cindy Williams?
Born as Cynthia Jane Williams on August 22, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, she had one sister named Carol Ann. After doing a theatre major, Cindy got several commercials like Foster Grant sunglasses and Trans World Airlines.
Eventually, she also bagged roles in television series like ‘Room 222′, ‘Nanny and the Professor’. In the 1970s, her career took a turn as he got several big projects like ‘Travels with My Aunt’ and George Lucas’s ‘American Graffiti.’
For the latter, she was nominated for BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her follow-up film was Francis Ford Coppola’s 1974 drama ‘The Conversation,’ which received an Oscar nomination. How Did She Die?
Williams passed away on January 25 at the age of 75. She died in Los Angeles after a brief illness. In a statement, her children Zak and Emily Hudson announced her death.
“The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed,” they said. “Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege.”
It further added, “She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.” In 1982, she tied the knot with musician and actor Bill Hudson. They parted ways in 2000.
