Bryce Dallas Howard has been acting in the industry for a long time. She has been acting in films since childhood and has done several critically and commercially successful films. The eldest daughter of filmmaker Ron Howard is the recipient of the Empire Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award.
Despite these achievements, it seems pay disparity doesn’t seem to go away in Hollywood. Howard recently talked about her salary for ‘Jurassic World.’ The actress said that she was paid much less that its lead Chris Pratt for the entire trilogy that wrapped this summer. It seems that the people in power cannot see beyond someone’s gender.

Bryce Dallas Howard Talks About Pay Disparity In Hollywood
Howard has appeared in all three ‘Jurassic World‘ films in the modern trilogy. It concluded with the recent release, ‘Jurassic World Dominion‘.
In a recent interview with Insider discussing Dominion’s home entertainment launch, the 41-year-old actress talked about her salary for the film.
She refuted a report that stated she was paid $2 million less than Chris Pratt for ‘Fallen Kingdom’. “The reports were so interesting because I was paid so much less than the reports even said, so much less,” Howard said.
“When I started negotiating for Jurassic, it was 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a great disadvantage“, she said. “And, unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, and so your deals are set.”
The initial report suggested her fee was $8 million compared to Pratt’s $10 million. Howard didn’t specify the amount she had received.
Chris Pratt Helped Howard In Getting Equal Pay On Franchise Opportunities
While Bryce didn’t get equal pay for the films, her co-star Chris Pratt helped her get paid for franchise opportunities like video games and theme park attractions.
Bryce and Chris talked about the pay gap and Chris promised to make it right. “What I will say is that Chris and I have discussed it, and whenever there was an opportunity to move the needle on stuff that hadn’t been already negotiated, like a game or a ride, he literally told me, ‘You guys don’t even have to do anything. I’m going to do all the negotiating. We’re going to be paid the same, and you don’t have to think about this, Bryce,’”.
She expressed her gratitude to Chris for this move. “I love him so much for doing that. I really do, because I’ve been paid more for those kinds of things than I ever was for the movie.”
Howard reprised her character of Claire Dearing in video games, rides and series. She lent her voice for ‘Lego Jurassic World’, ‘Lego Dimensions’, ‘Lego Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape’, ‘Jurassic World Evolution’, ‘Jurassic World: The Ride’, and ‘Jurassic World Evolution 2.’
