After 18 years of marriage, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has separated from his wife Sophie Gregoire. The pair have known each other since kids and were married for almost two decades with three children.

Why Did Justin Trudeau Separate From His Wife?
On Wednesday morning, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife of 18 years, Sophie Gregoire, announced their separation. “We would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate” read the statement.
They married in Montreal in May 2005 and have three children: Ella-Grace, 14, Xavier, 15, and their youngest, Hadrien, nine. According to CBC News, they have signed a legal separation agreement, citing a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
“As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and will continue to build,” “For the sake of our children’s safety, we ask that you respect our and their privacy,” it continued.

Justin Trudeau Reshuffles His Cabinet
In other news, Trudeau has also recently reshuffled his cabinet. Twenty-three ministers were relocated. These included those in crucial portfolios such as defense, justice, immigration, procurement, health, and transportation. While eight remained in their current positions.
Seven new ministers have been appointed. Four of them will fill seats left vacant by peers who stated previously that they would not run for re-election. David Lametti, the justice minister and attorney general; Mona Fortier, the Treasury Board president and minister of middle-class prosperity; and Marco Mendicino, the public safety minister, will be replaced by the other three.

We have the right team, made up of accomplished people who reflect the diversity and talent of our country. Together, we will keep building a strong future for the middle class, and for all Canadians,” Trudeau said in a statement.
