Strong was one of the most prominent members of SNL. She joined it on September 15, 2012, and left after the December 17, 2022 episode, marking nearly 10 years for her.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Strong appeared as Kimberly Guilfoyle in the cold open and several segments. One of them was about Jewish Elvis, the other one was called Weekend Update.

In the latter, Strong played the recurring character of Cathy Anne. Anne says a final goodbye as she was sent to prison; there were strong parallels between her and Strong’s departure from the show.

Anne says she will be fine as she had “friends on the inside, they seem to be doing OK” and shows pictures of castmembers like Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant who recently left the show. The reason for the Emmy-nominated actress’ departure is unknown, but she will be focusing on other ventures.
