Elon Musk Order To Remove Twitter’s Suicide Prevention Feature
Musk has made a lot of changes on Twitter to generate revenue that hasn’t been well received. It includes unbanning controversial names and banning journalists who were critical of him.
Recently, the company removed a feature that marketed suicide prevention hotlines and other safety measures for users looking up a certain type of content. It was done by the order of its new boss Musk.
Known as #ThereIsHelp, the feature showed at the top for specific searches related to mental health, vaccines, HIV, natural disaster, COVID-19, child sexual exploitation and gender-based violence, etc. The reason behind the removal of this feature is yet unknown.
Musk has said that harmful content views have declined since he bought the company. On the other hand, researchers and civil rights groups have shown tweets with racial slurs, anti-semitic words, and other hateful contents have increased recently.

Musk To Step Down As Twitter CEO
Musk has been contemplating stepping down as Twitter’s CEO for quite some time. He said that he will resign “as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams”.
This news came after he conducted a poll asking users if he should step down. More than 57.6 percent of users said Yes and nearly 42.4 percent clicked on No.
Popular YouTuber MrBeast asked the tech billionaire: “Can I be the new Twitter CEO?” Musk was quick to answer and tweeted, “It’s not out of the question.”
