Why Was Donald Trump Arrested?
Last week, Trump appeared in the Manhattan court over his involvement in the hush money scandal. Trump was accused of paying a hefty sum to adult film star Stormy Daniels to be quiet about their affair.
The payment was made right before the 2016 Presidential elections as Trump feared the news would damage his reputation. He was charged with falsifying business records, among other things.
He pleaded not guilty and is set to appear in court in December this year. The industrialist has continued to deny all these charges claiming they are politically motivated and are designed to silence him.
