Elon Musk-Owned Neuralink Faces Federal Probe
Musk has been laser-focused on Twitter lately after he bought the company for $44 billion. Another company that he owns is right now in the news for all the wrong reasons.
According to a Reuters report, the South African billionaire’s chip company Neuralink is under federal investigation for concerns about animal abuse by the US Department of Agriculture.
Several former and current employees of the company, 20 to be precise, have revealed that Musk’s iron-fist work environment has caused workers to cut corners and rush through everything.
This led to rushed work and errors while testing and resulted in several animal suffering and deaths. Around 1,500 animals, including pigs, monkeys, and sheep, have been killed during Neuralink testing since 2018.

Neuralink Made Several Reckless Errors
Over the past few years, the brain chip company made several errors while testing on animals. It involves putting the wrong surgical glue or the wrong-size brain chip.
All this caused scientists to have to kill those animals and start experiments all over again. Employees said Musk pressured them to work faster which caused these errors.
“We are simply not moving fast enough. It is driving me nuts,” Musk reportedly wrote to his employees at the beginning of this year. Last week, it was announced that Neuralink plans to start human clinical trains for brain chips. The billionaire also said that he will try the chip himself.
