Kim Kardashian is a name that doesn’t need any introduction. The 41-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashian‘ star always remains in the news for her personal life, fashion sense, or business ventures. But this time, Kim is creating headlines for all the wrong reasons.
She, along with her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-partner Scott Disick has been sued for $40 million over an alleged Instagram fake lottery scam related to luxe prizes. Let’s find out more detail about this case as the two have been sued for a massive amount of money.
Kim Kardashian And Scott Disick Sued For $40 Million
Kim knows how to remain in the limelight, but mostly for good reasons. This time around, she is in the news but for the wrong ones. It also involves Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick.
According to a report from TMZ, Kim and Scott are being sued for $40 million for promoting luxe prizes on Instagram. It was allegedly part of a fake lottery scam.
The contestants were promised a chance at winning items such as first-class tickets to Los Angeles, a three-night stay in Beverly Hills, and even $100,000.
The company that curated the prizes says that there have been real winners and the papers to prove it are in the works. However, the plaintiffs who were cheated claim in the lawsuit that Kardashian and Disick organized the contests to sell their personal information to advertisers.
Plaintiffs Seek $20 Milion From Both The Parties
As per the lawsuit, the victims claim that they have been “invaded by hundreds of advertisers, some of which are soliciting the Plaintiffs with potentially offensive and unwanted content.”
Disick is said to be the main organizer of the lotteries and celebs like Kim, her family members Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Kylie Jenner have also helped her promote it to their millions of Instagram followers.
Apart from the Skims founder and Disick, none of them have been named in the lawsuit. The plaintiffs are reportedly seeking $20 million from each defendant.
We hope that the company is able to provide paperwork for the legitimate winners of the lottery and that Kim is out of trouble.
