Miley Cyrus Wanted To Quit Hannah Montana
Disney’s ‘Hannah Montana’ ended its successful four-season run in 2011 and made Miley a star. But she wanted to quit the show at age 18 and she opened up about it in an interview with Elle.
The singer said that after having sex, she realized she had grown beyond the series. “It felt ridiculous. I was kind of like, ‘I can’t put the f*cking wig on again. It got weird. It just felt like…I was grown up. ”
But Miley has stated that she is proud of the show. “It’s pretty cool when you hear Cardi B was listening to Hannah Montana when she was in high school. That sh*t makes me happy.”
Earlier, Miley had said that it was tough for her to balance her own life with the fictional life of Hannah. “I think it got harder when I started touring as both — I toured as Hannah Montana and as myself.”
Miley Gives A Quirky Response To Selena Gomez’s SNL Impression
A few months ago, Selena Gomez did an impression of Miley on ‘Saturday Night Live‘ which was well received. Miley then came up with a funny response.
The “Party In The USA” singer posted a picture of herself in a tank top that read, “Hell yeah I’m Miley Cyrus”. They were written in bold letters. She revealed that she herself made the shirt showing the world exactly who she is.
She also tagged Selena and SNL on her picture. While hosting the show, Selena said, “I was like, ‘Miley, is that just an excuse for me to do an impression of you?’ And she’s like, ‘Hell yeah, I’m Miley Cyrus.’”
Both Miley and Selena had similar beginnings in their career. Both did teen shows and later achieved fame in the music world. Selena had acted in shows like ‘Barney & Friends’ (2002–2004) and later in the Disney show ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ (2007–2012).
