    Todd and Julie Chrisley have made a name for themselves in the television industry. They are the stars of the reality TV show ‘Chrisley Knows Best‘ but are currently in the news for all the wrong reasons. It has virtually put a full stop to their successful career in entertainment.

    Recently, Todd has been sentenced to 12 years in prison and 16 months probation after he and his wife Julie Chrisley were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion. In June, they were found guilty of conspiracy to defraud banks out of more than $30 million in loans.

    The Chriseys made a name for themselves as the stars of the reality TV show ‘Chrisley Knows Best‘. A prison sentence has basically ended their career in just no time.

    According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Todd has been given a 12-year prison sentence and 16 months probation after he and his wife Julie were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion.

    She was given a lesser sentence of seven years in prison along with 16 months probation. In June, the couple was found guilty of conspiracy to defraud banks of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans.

    They were also found guilty of several tax crimes, including trying to defraud the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

    What Did The Prosecutors Say?

    On November 16, the prosecutors wrote in the sentencing memorandum: “The Chrisleys have built an empire based on the lie that their wealth came from dedication and hard work.”

    The jury’s unanimous verdict sets the record straight: Todd and Julie Chrisley are career swindlers who have made a living by jumping from one fraud scheme to another, lying to banks, stiffing vendors, and evading taxes at every corner.”

    Julie and Todd have maintained their innocence and asked for less jail time. Earlier, they had also filed a joint motion for a new trial on the grounds that a witness “lied” during their trial.
