Nightwing is a superhero in the DC extended universe who is the alias of Richard John Grayson. He is often associated with characters like Batman and even Superman. The character has appeared in many comic books and also various different incarnations. Several authors have described him as the first son of Batman and as Batman’s sidekick in battling crime.

Rumors About Superman Casting
Before this edit of Jacob Elordi, as Nightwing went viral, he was touted as the successor of Henry Cavill for Superman’s portrayal. The DC Universe has undergone a significant transformation since James Gunn and Peter Safran assumed control. They announced the cancellation of various initiatives and instead focus on a new beginning. Rumors floating around have said that Gunn intends to make the actor Jacob Elordi the future Superman of the DC Universe.
But director James Gunn has refuted all the rumors about the Superman casting. He mentioned that nothing has been set in stone yet about casting. He tweeted, “My thoughts are no one has been cast as Superman yet. Casting, as is almost always the case with me, will happen after the script is finished or close to finished, and it isn’t. We’ll announce a few things in not too long, but the casting of Superman won’t be one of them.” So it hasn’t been confirmed yet as to who will be playing the role of Superman. Will it be Jacob Elordi? We will have to wait and watch.
