During the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, the fourth installment of Captain America was announced by Kevin Feige. He also said that the new Captain America movie will be a part of Phase Five. Since Steve Rogers has found a way back to his first love, Peggy Carter, the shield is now in the hands of Sam Wilson – the new Captain America.
‘Captain America: New World Order’ will follow the events of the 2021 Disney+ series ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’. Marvel’s anti-hero film ‘Thunderbolt‘ is scheduled to release following ‘Captain America 4‘. With the sad and unexpected demise of William Hurt, Harrison Ford is all set to make his appearance in Marvel Cinematic Universe in ‘Captain America: New World Order’. Ford will be playing the new Thunderbolt Ross, who will be seen waging wars against Sam Wilson.

Will Thunderbolt Ross Become The Red Hulk?
In the comics, Thunderbolt Ross is portrayed as a military leader in charge of pursuing the Hulk. But in the MCU rendition, Ross leaves the military and changes jobs by the time of ‘Captain America: Civil War’. Apparently, Ross suffers from a heart attack which leads him to pursue politics and become associated with Sokovia Accords. Although ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ revealed that the Sokovia Accords were annulled sometime after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
Further in the comics, Thunderbolt Ross becomes the Red Hulk – a powerhouse who embarrasses Bruce Banner. And since in ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ the Sokovia Accords have been removed, Marvel will now use the storyline of Red Hulk in ‘Captain America: The New World Order’. Also, someone from the past is going to make a comeback – Samuel Sterns AKA The Leader from ‘The Incredible Hulk’. He was exposed to Gamma Radiations at the end of ‘Incredible Hulk‘ and has been missing since then. In the comics, the Leader executes his own Gamma experiments, and he is one of two scientists accountable for transforming Ross into the Red Hulk.

Thunderbolt Ross’s Fate In ‘Captain America 4’
Recently leaked footage showed several characters from the film at a funeral. Sam Wilson and Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross hinted towards one of the major characters passing away. Thunderbolt Ross will transform into Red gamma giant – a supervillain Hulk. But with immense power and transformation, Thunderbolt Ross’ ability to withstand the power is in question which can ultimately lead to his death.
In the comics, Thunderbolt Ross dies in the arms of his daughter, Betty and later The Leader steals Ross’s body and uses the powers to resurrect Ross. But this plot most likely won’t be picked by Kevin Fringe in the movies. There might also be chances that Chris Evans’s character Steve Rogers will make a cameo appearance. Kevin Feige neither denied nor agreed to the claims on Steve Rogers’ appearance.
