Jensen Ackles Is Afraid Pedro Pascal Will Get The Role Of Batman
The ‘Supernatural’ star, Jensen Ackles is reportedly to be the frontrunner for the role of Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Brave and Bold. However, there’s yet another name, Pedro Pascal which might beat Ackles for the role of Batman. Ackles joked about Pascal talking over saying, “Will I be mad when Pedro Pascal gets it? Yeah. God bless you, Pedro. You just keep killing it, buddy. Let me know when you pass on something”.
In a conversation with Jus In Bello Convention in Italy, Jensen Ackles expressed his desire to play the Dark Knight.“Uh, I don’t know. Even if I knew, I wouldn’t tell you. I mean, could I do it? Sure. Would I want to do it? Yes”, said the actor. Ackles further continued, “Look, right now nobody’s talking about anything. There’s a strike going on in the entertainment industry, and until that gets solved, nobody is having conversations about anything. Would I entertain the idea of playing my favorite superhero of all time? Nah, I’m good. It seems like a lot of work, you know. You gotta put in a bat suit and be a superhero. I would love it. What Will Be The Story Of ‘Brave And The Bold’?
James Gunn announced in January that ‘The Brave and the Bold’ will be a part of DC’s many projects called Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters. It will be based on Grant Morrison’s Batman and Robin which will serve as a father and son story between Bruce Wayne and his son Damian Wayne, who later becomes the Boy Wonder.
‘The Brave and the Bold’ will be directed by ‘The Flash’ director, Andres Muschietti. However, Jensen Ackles will serve as the most appropriate candidate to play Batman, as he is aware of Bruce Wayne’s world. The actor has voiced Red Hood and Batman in Batman: Under the Red Hood and both Batman: The Long Halloween movies. Ackles also voices Batman in DC’s current Tomorrowverse animated continuity, making him the perfect candidate for the role of The Dark Knight.
