With the Super Bowl season here, fans all across the globe are anticipating the win of their favorite teams. Not just the common masses, but celebrities are also all hyped up for the Super Bowl and hoping for certain teams to win. With Taylor Swift getting the limelight since her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, his team has gained much more prominence on the global stage.
While it’s clear that Swift herself and all her fans are rooting for Kelce’s team, there’s one more prominent celebrity who has come up in support of the team and has even bet a hefty amount on it. But surprisingly, Kelce’s fans aren’t happy about Drake joining in.

Drake Places A $1.15 Million Bitcoin Wager On Kansas City Chiefs
Rapper and Singer Drake has put up a hefty bet on the Kansas City Chiefs. The singer recently revealed that he has placed a $1.15 million wager on the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LVIII. So if Kelce’s team wins the Super Bowl this year, the bet will pay Drake $2.346 million, along with a gain of $1.196 million.
While it may seem like delightful news for Kansas City Chiefs’ supporters, Drake’s hefty bet has left some fans wondering if the infamous ‘Drake curse’ will strike again. The rapper has earned a reputation for jinxing players and teams because of his past associations with them. So his latest wager has sparked concerns among Kelce fans, with many speculating if the team will lose because of his support for it.
Drake’s supposed curse has left its mark before when he sported a Shohei Ohtani jersey amid rumors of the MLB star’s potential move to Toronto. The player eventually signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers instead of the Blue Jays, disappointing fans who were hoping he would join the team.
But that is not all — Drake’s misfortunes extend beyond baseball. Last October, he placed a hefty $850,000 bet on Logan Paul to defeat Dillon Danis in a boxing match. But Paul won the match by disqualification and Drake lost the bet.
The rapper’s connections to sports teams and players, including the 2016 Golden State Warriors and the 2019 Alabama Crimson Tide, have also been followed by unexpected setbacks or losses. Though the curse did not affect the Toronto Raptors as they secured an NBA championship in 2019 despite Drake’s support, doubts about the inefficiency of the curse’s impact persist.

Drake’s Bet On Chiefs Is Because Of Taylor Swift
Now, with Drake’s significant bet on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl, anxiety among Kansas City fans is heightened. The rapper also has a partnership with Stake, a cryptocurrency gambling platform. It is the same space where he has invested in the Chiefs.
Drake’s decision to support the Chiefs was inspired by his relationship with pop sensation Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Chiefs’ star tight end Travis Kelce. The rapper recently posted a picture with Swift on his Instagram, captioned, “I can’t bet against the swifties“.
As anticipation builds for the Super Bowl showdown, fans now eagerly await for the match to kick off in Las Vegas on Sunday evening.
