Twitter has been going through a major transformation since Elon Musk took over the platform. But the journey of acquisition and revamp has been difficult for the billionaire. Musk lost a huge chunk of advertising revenue after the advertisers pulled their advertisements. So, the ex-CEO devised different revenue streams, including an $8 monthly subscription for blue-tick verification.
Now, Elon Musk has completely revamped Twitter into X to compete with other contemporaries. The new face of Twitter is envisioned as a one-stop shop for users. The users will be able to book tickets and cabs and make monetary transactions through the platform. The Tesla owner is now allowing users to hide their blue check marks as a step toward introducing new features.
Twitter’s New Avatar X Will Not Allow Access To Some Features With Hidden Blue Check Marks
Twitter Blue’s journey has been turbulent since Elon Musk took over Twitter, aka X. Musk wanted to democratize the platform by making the blue checkmark available to everyone. So he attempted to introduce an $8 monthly subscription. However, impersonation led the billionaire to halt the process of giving out the blue badge. After some days, he reinstated the feature with some new additions.
Now, the new revamped X will allow verified subscribers to hide the blue check marks. The company announced this on its page, stating, “As a subscriber, you can choose to hide your checkmark on your account. The check mark will be hidden on your profile and posts.”
But the blue checkmark may still appear in some places, and hiding it will result in an exemption from using certain features. It added, “The check mark may still appear in some places and some features could still reveal you have an active subscription.” It further stated that “some features may not be available while your checkmark is hidden.”

X By Elon Musk Sues An Anti-Hate Research Agency
Elon Musk is ensuring that he is keeping his competitors in check. Recently, his company sued Meta for replicating Twitter-like features on Threads, and it sued Microsoft for misusing the data. Now, it has launched a lawsuit against a non-profit organization, the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH).
X Corp. has filed a lawsuit against the CCDH in the Northern District of California’s Federal Court. X updated the users about the same on their blog, writing that the organization is “actively working to prevent free expression.” It is accusing CCDH of conducting “a scare campaign to drive away advertisers.” X Corp. claims that competitors and governments are funding it for their “ulterior agenda.”
