King Charles will officially become the head of the UK and 14 other commonwealth realms on his coronation day. The ceremony, which will take place on May 6, is going to see several high-profile guests in attendance. One of them will be Charles’ younger son Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex will be attending the event alone while his wife Meghan Markle will stay in California to take care of their children. Recently, media reports have stated that Harry had several peace talks with his father before he accepted the invitation. So let’s find out the details.
Prince Harry And King Charles Had A Talk
King Charles and Prince Harry had “positive conversations” about the former’s coronation ceremony. These peace talks took place before Buckingham Palace announced Harry’s arrival.
According to The Telegraph, the Duke of Sussex decided to attend one of the biggest events in his father’s life after their discussion. However, Harry did not talk to his brother Prince William. Lately, the relationship between the brothers is going through a rough patch.
In his memoir ‘Spare,’ Harry wrote that William once called Meghan Markle “difficult” and “rude.” Harry responded by saying that William should not mimic a British media parrot.
William then physically attacked him. “He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me“, Harry wrote.

Meghan Markle Will Stay In California With Her Children
In a statement, Buckingham Palace wrote: “The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.” Reports state that she decided to skip the event as their children were not invited.
The coronation date is also coinciding with the birthday of her son Prince Archie. For months, it was speculated that the couple will not be invited to the coronation because of their tell-all spree.
The couple gave several interviews about their life and the royal family. They also did a Netflix documentary series ‘Harry & Meghan.’ Harry also wrote a highly publicized memoir, ‘Spare.’
