Charles Spencer Draws Parallels Between Kate Middleton’s Absence And Princess Diana’s Absence
Charles Spencer recently spoke up about the sudden and alarming disappearance of Princess of Wales amid the recent conspiracy theories surrounding her whereabouts after her “planned abdominal surgery.”
In an interview with BBC’s ‘Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg’, Charles Spencer expressed concerns about the spread of misinformation and the erosion of truth in the age of social media. “I do worry about what happened to the truth,” he said during the interview.
He also opened up about the rampant rumors and speculation that are spreading like a wildfire after Middleton’s recent absence from public duties, and drew parallels with how Princess Diana died in 1997.
“I think it was more dangerous back in the day,” Spencer said during the interview. “If I look back to ’97 and Diana’s death, I think that was so shocking, the circumstance of her death was so shocking, that it did make the industry that supports the paparazzi really consider more carefully what it could and couldn’t do,” he added.
“Not because they had a moral judgment, but because it was unacceptable to the public,” late Princess Diana’s brother said.

Kate Middleton Remains Unseen As Rumors Continue To Swirl
Middleton, the wife of Spencer’s nephew Prince William, took a break from her royal obligations in January this year after a health scare. As she still remains absent from the public eye, her well being remains a matter of concern among many.
The entire drama got a new twist after some blurry photos of Middleton surfaced, and many questioned their authenticity. Moreover, Middleton posted an “altered” photo of herself and her three children on March 10 to celebrate Mother’s Day. Though she later apologized with a public statement, people refused to believe its authenticity.
While Kensington Palace had initially clarified that Middleton would not make public appearances until after Easter because of her surgery, public anxiety continues to mount around her absence.
Late-night talk show host John Oliver even made light of the situation, joking about Middleton’s possible death and a cover-up by the palace.
As speculation around Middleton’s whereabouts continue to swirl, a recent report has claimed Middleton will likely address the widespread concerns over her health and well-being when she returns to public duty after March 31.
