Fans of the Royal Family heaved a sigh of relief as the Irish Guards posted a letter Kate Middleton wrote for them apologizing for missing the pre-Trooping the Colour rehearsal and hoping to be back very soon.
On June 15, the Trooping the Colour procession will be held in observance of King Charles III of Britain’s official birthday. Kate Middleton’s absence from the event is a given as she has been out of the spotlight after her cancer diagnosis. Kate Middleton Pens Sweet Letter For The Irish Guards
The Irish Guards posted a heartfelt letter the Princess Of Wales wrote for them as an apology for missing the Parade this year. The letter reads, “I wanted to write and let you know how proud of the entire Regiment ahead of the Colonel’s Review and Trooping of the Colour.”
She continued, “I appreciate everyone trooping this year has been practicing for months, and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drill are immaculate. Being your colonel remains a great honor and I am very sorry that I’m unable to take the salute at this year’s Colonel’s Review,” ending the letter with an apology, “Please pass my apologies to the whole Regiment, however I do hope that I am able to represent you all once again very soon. Please send my very best wishes and good luck to all involved.”

The Irish Guards wrote that they were “touched” to receive the letter from Kate and added, “We continue to wish Her Royal Highness well in her recovery and send Her our very best wishes.”

Kate Middleton’s Cancer Diagnosis
