Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are invited to attend King Charles‘ coronation ceremony which is scheduled to take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. This announcement put an end to months-long speculations that they have been ousted by the royal family.
However, recently a royal expert has pointed out that the Duke of Sussex might be looking for some kind of excuse to not attend his father’s big event. Meghan, on the other hand, will be staying in California with her children that day. So let’s find out in detail what the expert said.

Prince Harry Might Be Having Second Thoughts About Attending Coronation
Last month, Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Harry will be attending King Charles’ coronation. Now, a royal expert named Tom Bower has stated that the Duke of Sussex might not attend the event.
“I think there is more to come… I’m sure that when Harry is here, or just before he arrives, something else will come out of California“, he said. “I’ve always suspected that [Harry] didn’t want to come. I didn’t think he would come and I think he’s looking for an excuse not to come because quite clearly he has been put back into the guest list area of the Abbey rather than the front.”
Tom then said that Harry might look for an excuse to skip the event until the last moment. He was referring to Harry’s sitting arrangement at the coronation where he will be seated 10 rows behind the senior members of the royal family.

Harry Might Attend Both The Coronation And Archie’s Birthday
Meghan Markle will be celebrating the 4th birthday of their firstborn son Prince Archie. The date coincides with the coronation ceremony and many speculate this is why she decided to skip the royal event.
It was recently reported that Harry will only spend a day in the UK for the coronation and will return to California just two hours after the event ends to celebrate Archies’ birthday.
“Harry’s going to make every effort to get back in time for Archie’s birthday,” an insider revealed. Talking about the party, the insider said: “It’s going to be an intimate party.” Meghan and Harry’s children were not officially invited to the coronation.
