The royal house saw some pretty difficult days in the year that went by with both King Charles and Princess Kate Middleton diagnosed with cancer. While reports suggest that both have them have recovered after the diagnosis, rumors are also floating that Buckingham Palace has already started preparing for the monarch’s funeral.

Opening up more about it recently, the Prince of Wales has candidly told South African media that 2024 has been “probably the hardest year” of his life. Here’s everything he said.
Prince William Talks About His Struggle Dealing With His Father And Wife’s Cancer Diagnosis
Prince William had to deal with both his wife Princess Catherine and his father King Charles getting diagnosed with cancer. If that isn’t a colossal nightmare, we don’t know what is. “It’s been awful,” said William, responding to reporters in South Africa who asked him how the year has been for the royal family amid the health scares and other issues.
“So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been very tough,” he added. The royal house started the year by announcing that King Charles of Buckingham Palace had been diagnosed with cancer in February.
Six weeks later, Catherine, the princess, was also diagnosed and had to start chemotherapy. Despite their heavy health battles, both members of the royal family have been pushing through with their recoveries. King Charles returned to public duties while Catherine slowly emerged from hiding.
