In 2023, Prince Harry released another piece of content to malign the image of the royal family with some personal and intimate ruminations in his memoir ‘Spare.’ In the book, apart from accusing King Charles III of leaking information about the couple’s emigration to the USA, Harry made heartfelt mention of his late mother, Princess Diana. In the memoir, he talks about celebrating his 13th birthday a few days after Diana passed away.
After doing the last rites, Prince Harry returned to his school, Ludgrove School. The school had a tradition of celebrating the birthday with cake and choosing two favorite flavors for sorbet. Harry chose black currant and his mother’s favorite, mango. During the celebration, Aunt Sarah came and handed him a box. Harry wrote, “I tore at the wrapping paper and the ribbon. I peered inside.”
Prince Harry was surprised to see it and said, “What…?” Aunt Sarah said, “Mummy bought it for you… Shortly before…” Harry completed it, saying, “You mean in Paris?” Sarah said yes. He continued, “It was an Xbox. I was pleased. I loved video games.”

King Charles III Was Disappointed With The Duke’s Birth
A documentary titled ‘Diana: The Rest of the Story’ is scheduled to be released in 2024. Before that, Andrew Morton’s tapes that he received from Princess Diana in the 1990s were released, and some media outlets got their hands on them. In the tapes, Princess Diana mostly talked about the dwindling marriage between her and King Charles III.
In one of the audio tapes, Princess Diana narrated what happened during Harry’s christening. During Prince Harry’s christening, as per Diana, “Charles went up to mummy and said, ‘You know we were so disappointed, we thought it would be a girl.’ “ Diana’s stepmother, Raine Spencer, said, “You should realize how lucky you are to have a child that’s normal.”
