The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle are trending again, as the final episodes of their Netflix documentary came out on December 15, 2022. The couple shared about their journey together as lovers and married couples. They also talked about their two children- Archie and Lilibet.
In this final installment, the couple revealed their struggles after their marriage in 2018 and also the issues they faced as the couple stepped from royal duties in 2020. The Duke and Duchess did open up about their friendship with Tyler Perry and how he became Lili’s godfather. The names of Archie’s godparents were also kept private at first but were later revealed.

Archie’s Godparents
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on May 6, 2019, and is the first son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle. He is sixth-in-line to the British throne. Archie had been privately christened in July 2019 and the couple did not reveal the names of the godparents. However, the names of Archie’s godparents came out eight months after the christening as the Sussexes were stepping away from their royal duties.
There were so many speculations regarding the names of Harry’s eldest son’s godparents. Finally, it has been understood that Meghan and Harry chose two people to fulfill the role. The first person is Prince Harry’s childhood nanny, Tiggy Pettifer. And the second one is the ex-royal aide and Harry’s loyal friend, Mark Dyer.
Tiggy played a crucial role in the lives of Prince William and Prince Harry as she looked after them during their parent’s separation and thereafter their mother’s death. Mark Dyer, served as an equerry to Prince Charles in the 1990s. He was a mentor to the young princes. He is also a trustee of the charity Sentebale which was co-founded by Prince Harry in 2006.

Who Is Lilibet’s Godfather?
The Netflix documentary ‘Harry & Meghan’ revealed that the couple’s close friend Tyler Perry is their daughter Lilibet’s godfather. He had been the one who helped Prince Harry and Meghan when they were “unprotected” with “no security” in Vancouver Island, Canada. This was after they stepped away from their royal duties in 2020 and were surrounded by paparazzi.
Finally, Tyler Perry offered the couple to live in his mansion in California and stayed there for six weeks without the world’s knowledge. In the documentary, Tyler mentions the surprise he experienced upon knowing that he was Lili’s godfather. The actor added that he felt “honored” by the gesture.
