The Royal Family has been under media scrutiny due to many scandals and controversies. But Prince Harry and Meghan Markle washed the family’s dirty linen in public under the media’s watch. In 2020, the couple announced that they were stepping back from their roles as royals. But the two created a rift between them and the family due to the Oprah interview.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle settled in the USA and signed multimillionaire deals with many media giants, including Netflix. They released a docuseries on Netflix called “Harry & Meghan,’ in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made various allegations against royal family members. In addition to that, Prince Harry’s memoir ‘Spare” also created a bad image of the family in the public eye. Paramount+ released a documentary on King Charles III ahead of his coronation. The documentary is called ‘King Charles: The Boy Who Walked Alone.’ Johnny Stonborough, Charles’ friend, coined the title of the documentary. It was released on May 2, 2023. In the 90-minute documentary, a former butler of the royal family, Grant Harrold, talked about the impact of Prince Harry’s behavior on the royal family.
Grant Harrold said,“At this point in time, there’s been polls done and the monarchy’s popularity has dropped.” He continued, “Charles, his popularity has dropped, Will and Kate’s popularity has dropped, Harry’s popularity has dropped. What does that say for the future of it? I don’t think Harry realizes that maybe he started a time bomb, which could actually be the catalyst to actually destroying the monarchy.”

The Butler Refuted His Bullying Allegations Against Prince William
During the second part of the ‘Harry & Meghan’ docuseries, Prince Harry chronicled a brawl that erupted between him and Prince William. When the Duke of Sussex decided to exit the royal family, Queen Elizabeth II convened a congregation consisting of Prince William and King Charles III. In the docuseries, he narrates the incident.
Prince Harry said, “It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that weren’t true and my grandmother quietly sit there and take it all in.” He alleged that the palace released a joint statement in Harry’s and William’s names without consulting the former.
In Charles’ documentary, Grant Harrold said, “In all the years I was there, I didn’t witness fallouts [between William and Harry], I didn’t witness shouting. They were a happy family.”
The butler continued, “So, that bit (as described in ‘Spare’) doesn’t add up. I don’t know what’s made [Harry] change so much. I look at him, and I just — something has happened. Something has changed him and made him very different.”
