You would be living under a rock if you have not remotely heard the internet’s new fixation New York TimesWordle. From celebrities to streamers to common people, everyone is obsessed with this five-letter word puzzle. We all know when Jimmy Fallon played the game on ‘The Tonight Show’ with his drummer Questlove and announcer Steve Higgins.

Currently, 2.7 million people play the world puzzle that software engineer Josh Wardle created. He created the game for his spouse, Palak Shah as she is a cross-word and word puzzle enthusiast. However, in recent times, the puzzle is receiving backlash from players. For Monday’s Wordle, people went berserk over the answer and took it to Twitter to bash the game.

Why Wordle Has Upset People?

The internet’s new Among Us is facing tough criticism from the audience over some answers. In May 2022, when the country was grappling with the overturn of Roe Vs. Wade, Wordle was caught in the storm of controversy. For May 9, the answer was “fetus,” which the people felt was not appropriate for the current political climate.

Twitterati Expresses Anger Over The ‘Word Of The Day’

The parent company, New York Times did change the word of the day. Nevertheless, cut to today, random “word fishing” for today’s Wordle 457 has fumed the vocabulary enthusiasts. The five-letter word today is a word from a common phrase used to indicate a period of time. The ‘Word of the day’ has upset Twitterati.
