Season 27 of ‘The Bachelor’ was hosted by Jesse Palmer, who was the bachelor in the fifth season. The bachelor for the season was Zach Shallcross, a 26-year-old sales executive from California who also appeared in the 19th season of ‘The Bachelorette‘. He actively pursued Rachel Recchia on the show but ultimately ended up in third place after quitting.
30 participants took part in the season. Some familiar faces like Miss Florida World 2019 Lekha Ravi, Barbara Mandrell, the niece of singer Christina Mandrell, and Miss South Carolina 2018 Davia Bunch were also seen. Charity Lawson, Gabi Elnicki, Ariel Frenkel, and Kaity Biggar clearly seemed the frontrunners in the season. In the finale episode, Ariel Frenkel got to speak as she got eliminated in the episode before.
The last two women left, Kaity and Gabi, got to meet Zach’s family. Finally, Zach gave the final rose to Kaity. During their final rose ceremony, Zach popped the question to Kaity, and the couple is now engaged. This is the first time that a bachelor has gotten engaged during a finale in a few years. The last time that happened was in 2020 when Peter Weber got engaged.

Where Are Zach Shallcross And Kaity Biggar Now?
Fans wondered if the couple was still together after the filming of the season ended. It has happened multiple times in the past seasons, of all ‘The Bachelor‘ and related shows, that between shooting and the airing of the episodes, the couple who ended up together at the end, had already broken up after the release of the finale. So yes, Kaity and Zach are still together and engaged.
The couple in an interview with a publication revealed that they are still together but have no plans of marrying soon. Zach said about their plans, “Right now, the main emphasis is living together in Austin, getting to know each other more and more, and just see how things go.” After the filming for the season of ‘The Bachelor’ ended, Zach Shallcross moved back to Austin, Texas, his hometown. Kaity also lives in the same city currently.
The duo also talked about their future plans. Zach said, “(I can see Kaity and I) married with some little ones running around — maybe one, maybe two.” Kaity also added saying, “I would like a beach house, babe.” Zach later added, “We’re going to start living in Austin, but after a year in Austin, figure out if we want to try something else and explore and travel the world.” The couple also revealed how they will be inviting many close contestants like Ariel, Gabi, Mercedes, and Jess to their wedding. So it is safe to assume that the duo are head over heels in love and see a future with one another.
