Set in Regency England, ‘Bridgertonis an English television series. It’s one of Netflix’s most popular series. The first season focused on relationships and the lives of individuals during that period. The Sharmas, three desi characters, are the focus of the show’s second season. The Sharma sisters, Mary, Kate, and Edwina have reached the second season, and the plot of the program focuses on them.

The series has become immensely popular with the audience, most of whom are engrossed in the love webs in the series. Another thing that has gone viral is the series’ instrumental version of Taylor Swift‘s ‘Wildest Dreams‘. Turns out, Swift had more than just musical influence in the show. Here’s how Taylor Swift has inspired the series and its writing.

How Did Taylor Swift Inspire ‘Bridgerton’?

Abby McDonald, one of the writers of the Netflix series has revealed that a Taylor Swift song inspired her to write one of the episodes of the series.

Talking about it on X, the writer wrote, “Fun fact! My unofficial anthem while writing this episode of Bridgerton was ‘Illicit Affairs’ by @taylorswift13.”

She then added a lyric from the song, “‘You showed me colors/ You know I can’t see with anyone else…’”

This is not the first time Swift has been connected to the series. Her hit song ‘Wildest Dreams‘ is one of the songs used in the series,= as an instrumental and has gained a lot of popularity since. Apart from Swift, some other artists featured in the series’ soundtrack are Ariana Grande, Maroon 5, Shawn Mendes and Billie Eilish.

Bridgerton’ Season Three: What To Expect

Last December it was revealed that the third season for ‘Bridgerton‘ will be coming in 2024, along with an unexpected twist: the season will have two parts.

The first episode of the third season is scheduled to air in May. The series has given us an enemies-to-lovers epic and a fictitious dating arc, both of which are based on the ‘Bridgerton‘ books.

This season will mostly focus on Colin and Penelope’s love story, as clips for the show suggests. Fans are excited to explore the new couple and their romantic journey. The eight episode first part of the season will air from 16th May on Netflix.
