The New Spin-Off Is Based On George R. R. Martin’s Novel ‘The Hedge Knight’

The series is adapted from George R. R. Martin’s novel ‘The Hedge Knight’, and Martin himself is writing and executive producing the show along with Ira Parker. Other executive producers include Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis, Owen Harris, and Sarah Bradshaw.
The plot follows Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg as they journey to a competition where they meet many Targaryen princes and other notable figures. The full logline reads of the show reads: “A century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones,’ two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”
It is yet unclear when the show is expected to release. But fans can sure rely on another one of fantasy shows in the franchise coming up.
