‘Game of Thrones‘ is often credited for revolutionizing storytelling on television. This epic fantasy series managed to bridge the gap between cinema and television with its rich visuals. The show met with critical acclaim, accolades, and great viewership until its finale was aired.
The rushed ending of the series met with poor reception and ended up ruining the legacy of the series. One of the lesser talked about aspects of the finale is how Bran Stark ended up becoming the king of Westeros. But it was clear that Arya Stark was a far better option in front of everyone.
‘Game Of Thrones’: Arya Stark Should Have Become Westeros’ Queen
In HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones‘, Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams) is the youngest daughter of Ned Stark. She is a bubbly girl who loves to play with her friends like any other girl of her age.
But things quickly change after Ned is killed. She has to become and act in a mature way in order to survive. She is taught fighting skills by Syrio Forel and later separates from her family. A determined and focused character, Arya befriends Sandor Clegane later in the story.
Later, she masters the art of disappearing into the crowd, stealth and stealing identities with the help of a man with no name. Later on, she avenges the red wedding by murdering Walder Frey and his sons.

Bran Stark Sits On The Iron Throne
In the episode ‘The Long Night‘, a massive battle between the Night King’s white walker army and the rest of the people takes place. In the end, when all hope is lost, Arya emerges from the dark and stabs the night king with a Valyrian steel dagger. Thus, Arya becomes the reason for Night King’s defeat.
Jon Snow is a bastard and has no interest in sitting on the Iron Throne. Daenerys Targaryen is dead. So that leaves everyone with the best option of Arya. Despite so many of her achievements, everyone picks Bran Stark.
The final season, or the final episode of the entire series to be precise, has been heavily criticized. The rushed ending, ruined character arc of Daenerys, and other things have been heavily slammed by the fans of the series and the books. Another thing to dislike is that the makers blatantly ignore someone as skilled and composed as Arya over a safe and non-risky choice like Bran. This is one of the examples of lazy writing that its makers resort to towards the end.
