Why Did Rhaenyra Give Birth To A Dragon In ‘House Of The Dragon’?
In the final episode of ‘House of the Dragon‘, Rhaneyra goes into labor and gives birth to a dead child. However, it appears to be a dragon and not a human being.
People on the internet are trying to decipher the grey scale of the dead child and how did she give birth to a dragon. One user speculated that the scale of its body might be because of the crab feeder.
Wait, it had greyscale? Is this because Daemon touched that Crab Feeder guy?

In the initial episodes, Daemon killed and beheaded the crab feeder. It appears that touching it led to some long-lasting impact on Daemon, and eventually on his and Rhaenyra’s child.

Targaryen’s have a history of having stillborn babies that are half human and half dragon looks. Most of them tend to die during the birth process. In a Reddit thread, a user named Necessary Candy explained the phenomena.
They wrote, “Valyrians commanded their bloodmages and pyromancers who gathered in the Anogrion to used powerful bloodmagic to bind Valyrians with dragonblood and so that the dragons would see them as kin and recognise them as their own kind and form powerful magical bonds to individual Valyrians, which we know as the rider bond.”
The user also said that it has been hinted several times that “Daeron I, Aerion Brightflame, Aerys II, Viserys the begger king, all claimed themselves to be dragons in human form.”
