The Possible Ending Of ‘Better Call Saul’
‘Better Call Saul‘ is finally coming to an end. But we wonder how is it going to end. What will be the fate of someone who has conned so many people?
In the penultimate episode, (spoiler alert!) we see Gene (Bob Odenkirk) narrowly escaping the house of a cancer patient. But Jeff is arrested by the cops and blamed for the burglary. Gene goes to his mother’s house, only to find out that she knows Gene is a con man.
The episode ends with Gene running away after his identity is exposed. Now we can imagine the makers merging Kim Wexler and Saul’s fate into one. Their stories will cross paths as Kim also told Cheryl the truth about Howard’s death.
Either Kim will forgive everything and reunite with Saul or their bad deeds will catch up. There’s also a possibility of Saul meeting Jesse Pinkman who is still alive. Or maybe using the vacuum man to vanish for one last time.
But one thing is clear Kim will not die as the makers have already killed some major characters this season like Lalo and Howard.
The Penultimate Episode Reveals Kim Wexler’s Fate
In the penultimate episode titled “Waterworks”, we finally see where and how Kim Wexler is after leaving Saul Goodman.
Through a flashback, we see Kim living in Titusville, Florida, with a changed physical appearance. The former attorney now has a desk job at Palm Coast Sprinklers.
Kim lives with her boyfriend in the suburbs and discusses frivolous things with her neighbors.
A big surprise comes when the narrative moves back around the ‘Breaking Bad‘ timeline. We see Kim visiting Saul Goodman’s office to finalize their divorce. He has changed and treats her just like any other client.
Outside the office, Kim meets Jessie Pinkman who asks her if he can trust Goodman. She gives a short response and leaves. In the current timeline, she meets Howard’s widow and tells her the truth about his death.
