The ‘Supernatural’ actor has been brutally honest about his feelings for the CW. The actor was the star and executive producer of the CW show ‘Walker’. However, the show was recently canceled by the network and the final episode rolled out on 26 June, 2023. And before praises for the finale can take over the internet, Jared Padalecki has shared his anger with CW.
The actor did not sugar coat his words at all. Padalecki talked about it in an interview with Variety about the show’s cancellation.

Jared Padalecki Is Angry Over ‘Walker’ Cancelation
The 41-year-old actor has been part of the CW for a long time now. He also starred in the CW show ‘Supernatural’ as Sam Winchester. But Padalecki has some harsh words for the network’s new management. CW was acquired by Nexstar in 2022. Padalecki feels that Nexstar is changing the network completely.
He said, “[Nexstar] is changing the network around, where it’s not really going to be a TV network as much as it’s going to be, ‘Here’s something fun for an hour that you’ll never watch again, but hopefully you watch it. And it’s cheap!’” Padalecki continued to say, “And I hate to say that, but I’m just being honest. I mean, f–k it.”
“They can’t fire me again. I’m just being brutally honest. I think it felt to me like they were looking for really easy, cheap content that they could fill up time with,” Padalecki added. He also pointed out at shows like ‘Trivial Pursuit’ and ‘Scrabble’ as examples of the network’s new strategy. “I feel like The CW that I was a part of last year is not The CW that I was a part of under [former chairman and CEO] Mark Pedowitz for that entire, almost 20-year stretch,” Padalecki said.

Jared Padalecki Does Not Want To Sign Up For A Long-Running Network Show
Although the actor was very much invested in ‘Walker’, he did express his wish to take time off. He had previously told TVLine that he was “pretty tired” after so many years on TV. “I’m a little disillusioned about the state of the industry that I’ve loved and been employed with for 24 years,” he said.
Padalecki added, “So I have a lot of thinking to do, and I have a lot of time to be with my wife and our kids, my friends, and think about where this industry is.” He also said that he is not interested in signing up for another long-running network show. He wants to focus on his family for now. “You really have to sacrifice a lot, and I’ve sacrificed everything I have to sacrifice for many, many years, and I think I’m at a point in my life where I want to spend more time with my wife and kids,” Padalecki explained.
