‘Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power’ Season 2 To Introduce New Wizard

Amazon’s take on ‘Lord Of The Rings with ‘Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power’ was loved by the fans. So, it was no surprise that people were ecstatic about the news of the show getting renewed for another season. Despite Amazon not releasing any first looks for the show, rumors have already begun regarding it.

The Rings Of Power’ is set thousands of years before the novels and serves as a prequel to the films. Before this, rumors about the actor portraying Gandalf were circulating. Despite the show not yet confirming whether Daniel Weyman is playing Gandalf or not, it’s said that another new Wizard is set to debut.

If Weyman is confirmed to play Gandalf, the next Wizard to be introduced could potentially be Saruman or Radagast. According to the Fellowship of Fans outlet, the new wizard will “help train the Stranger, improving his abilities and magic, making him very powerful”. However, these are only speculations. Additionally, the Wizard could either be an istari or just another magical creature. They are also speculated to help fight Sauron’s evil plans.

After the rumors regarding a new wizard helping ‘the stranger’ to train and better his abilities surfaced, fans were quick to take their guesses at who it could be. Despite the source not confirming whether the new wizard was a star or not, people believe that it could be one of the ‘blue wizards’.

All of the information you shared here makes me think we’re getting blue wizards for sure,” a user on X commented. When it comes to who the blue wizards are, they are two characters known as Alatar and Pallando. They are also called Morinehtar and Rómestámo in Tolkien’s writings.

They are not prominent in the main narrative and we’re said to leave for a journey in the Middle Earth. With ‘The Rings Of Power’ being based in the Middle Earth the guesses can be true.
