It can’t be true, right? The ‘Succession‘ episode ‘Connor’s Wedding‘ was the show’s most shocking and consequential episode. On his way to conquer Sweden, Logan Roy falls to the ground and doesn’t get up. Dead as a doorknob. Or is he? Surely, a war veteran like him can’t die like that.
While he’s still in the air, the Roy siblings are at sea celebrating Connor and Willa’s wedding. While Connor continues to freak out about his abandonment issues, the rest of the Roy siblings work out the next steps in the line of succession. They love their father, but there’s an empire at stake.

Logan Roy (Brian Cox) visits Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) with his advisors. He tasks Roman (Kieran Culkin) with firing Gerri (J. Smith-Cameron) over her inability to deal with the scandals that tarnished the good name of WaystarCo. ‘Connor’s Wedding‘ does a brilliant job of separating power factions and bringing them together in times of conflict. While Connor (Alan Ruck) continues to spin out, the Roy siblings are left paralyzed by the news, breaking down and expressing regret.
In the air, the advisors are already looking to create exigency plans, unwilling to blow the deal with the Lukas. Whatever shred of humanity they have, the fact is they aren’t family. Meanwhile, the Roy siblings are hit hard with the news, forcing them to set aside their differences and bring their dad home. All while thinking about the transition of power in the organization.

But he’s been poked and prodded, and it doesn’t look like he’s getting up. In the interim, someone must step to foster the GoJo deal.
The show belongs to the Roy siblings unless Brian Cox’s Logan Roy pulls off a miracle escape. With the GoJo deal hanging on a thin wire, they must watch how they safely deliver the package.
