Who Is Ambrosius The Octopus?
First introduced in Season 3, Ambrosius lived in the aquarium of the now-deceased super twins TNT. It was here that The Deep engaged in somewhat questionable acts with the octopus and developed an affection for her.
After the destruction of the twins’ home, The Deep took Ambrosius and kept her hidden in a small tank in his quarters. Ambrosius, voiced by acclaimed actress Tilda Swinton, provided an element of humor to Deep’s strange relationship with the aquatic companion.

The Tragic Death Of Ambrosius
In the latest episode ‘The Insider‘, tension grows between The Deep and Ambrosius. After Ambrosius voices concern that Sister Sage is manipulating the Deep’s self-esteem, the Deep angrily lashes out.
In a fit of rage, The Deep smashes Ambrosius’s aquarium tank against the wall. This then leads to glass shattering and the octopus left helplessly flailing on the floor due to not having water. The Deep then storms off and shuts the door to the closet. While not explicitly shown passing, the context heavily implies Ambrosius did not survive the lack of water and died from asphyxiation.
