Zombie shows have always received a positive response from the audience. The concept of a zombie apocalypse has not only worked well for movies but it has always been successful when it comes to TV shows. ‘The Walking Dead’ is one such successful horror drama franchise.
A total of four shows have been released in this franchise and all of them have received a lot of viewership over the years. Now another installment is being added and it is titled ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City.’

‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’: Plot Details
The makers have not revealed much about the storyline for ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City.’ The reason is that the producers are trying to keep everything in suspense mode.
According to details available from different sources, Maggie and Negan enter New York and find the natives of the city. They manage to escape a marshal with a bad past and discover a dangerous killer. The duo then walks towards the inner part of the city and it is revealed that the duo’s traumatic past can prove to be a big danger for them.
There are different phases in the problems of the lead characters. This includes their past alongside their confrontations with the flesh-hungry beasts. The show will be adding a lot of nostalgic moments from the other shows.

‘The Walking Dead’ Spin-Off Cast, Characters And Release Date
‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ was confirmed to be in development in March 2022. A majority of the cast members were confirmed to reprise their roles and the title of the series was confirmed in August the same year.
Production for the show started in July 2022 and ended in October of the same year. It was shot in various locations and it is now scheduled to premiere on June 18, 2023, on AMC.
The lead roles in ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ will be played by Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, Gaius Charles as Perlie Armstrong, Željko Ivanek as ‘The Croat’, Jonathan Higginbotham as Tommaso, Mahina Napoleon as Ginny, Trey Santiago-Hudson as Jano, Charlie Solis as ‘The Bartender’ and Michael Anthony as Luther.
