Having taken the viewer through the breathtaking landscapes of Hawaii and Sicily, HBO’s popular series ‘The White Lotus‘ is now taking its fictional franchise to the lush splendor of Thailand for its much-awaited third season.
This Emmy-winning series promises to give its viewers another satirical ride through class, relationships, and new mysteries in yet another exotic destination. Here’s everything we know about the show’s next season.
‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 Would Have Star-Studded Cast With Some Returning Faces
Season 3 of ‘The White Lotus‘ cast features a familiar face from season one as Natasha Rothwell is reprising her role as Belinda Lindsey, the spa manager left emotionally devastated when her dream business did not take off. Her return marks her as the latest White Lotus employee to reappear across seasons, following in the footsteps of Jennifer Coolidge’s iconic Tanya McQuoid in seasons one and two.
Coolidge recently revealed that she took his reprisal as a return invitation. “When Mike White asked me to dinner, I had no idea he was already thinking about season three. I told him I’d follow him anywhere,” she said.
The cast is further joined by franchise newcomers Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, and pop sensation Lisa from Blackpink, credited as Lalisa Manobal, among others. The cast also includes Scott Glenn, Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and more, which makes it one of the most star-packed seasons yet.
‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 Is Set To Bring New Themes In The Show
Each season of ‘The White Lotus‘ has a thematic focus that differs from one season to another. While season one was on money and season two on sex, season three will likely look at comedy satire and death, spirituality, and Eastern religion.
Mike White teased that this season will feel like a “rich tapestry” and promised viewers it’s going to bring a fresh take on the show’s mysterious underpinnings. Although the series has become popular for always opening the season with a shot of a dead body, White hinted that season three might break this tradition.

“I don’t think it needs to always be a body opening the show,” he said. “We want to reinvent the show each year. People may expect a fresh mystery, but I don’t feel constrained by expectation.”
White has also promised season three to be a “supersized” version of ‘The White Lotus‘—longer, more extravagant, and crazier than ever before. “I’m super excited about the content of the season,” he shared in an interview, meaning that this season might be pushing the show further.
‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 Is Filmed In Thailand’s Dream Locations
Recently, a teaser for the 2025 programming of HBO and Max gave preview glimpses into season three, showing the Thai locations and some of the cast. Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok are the sites where the season has been shot.
With the aim of highlighting the country’s beauty, history, and hospitality, HBO has partnered with Thailand’s tourism authority to shoot on-site here. Like seasons one and two shot on Four Seasons hotels in Hawaii and Sicily, this third season should also boost tourism in Thailand.

But the Thai location is even more of a perfect fit for the season of exploring Eastern spirituality and death as White envisioned, which will lead to a season that explores the metaphysical but keeps its sharp, dark humor fans love to see on the screens.
In the first look of the third season, the return of Natasha Rothwell as Belinda shows her happier than ever. The thrilling story is quite confined to the safe in the hotel, but White’s new show is set to bring another charged season of mystery, rich humor, and beautifully complex humanity. And with Thailand as a magnificent background, season three will surely continue the winning streak of the show.
