What Is Marechi Blood?

Marechi Blood

Marechi is one of the most uncommon blood types, which is why demons find it so irresistible and enticing. As this blood was able to affect the strongest of the Upper Ranks, Kokushibo, it is also exceptional due to its tremendous potency that even the slightest sniff of it instantly causes demons to salivate and lose concentration.

However, after a period, its impact diminished. Muzan Kibutsuji, the ancestor of all demons, has a high tolerance level and can withstand even an advanced form of the Marechi blood, therefore it has no impact on him.

Nezuko’s demonic urges were at the door ready to devour the former as her resolve was put to the test with this unusual blood. Her resolve and willpower, nevertheless, prevented her from hurting any people. Sakonji Urokodaki’s Hypnotic suggestion was buried and implanted within Nezuko which strengthens her resolve even more, as she visualizes everyone she meets as her family and demons as her enemies. Also, she was the only demon to reject that blood except Muzan.
