Patrick Dempsey Is Set To Star In ‘Dexter: Original Sin’
The ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ is returning on screen with a treat for fans as he sets to star in the highly anticipated prequel of ‘Dexter‘.
“Patrick Dempsey is a beloved actor who is internationally known for the iconic characters he has played and his performances,” Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO, Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios Chris McCarthy said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have him join our all-star cast of Dexter: Original Sin, the highly anticipated origin story of the franchise.”
The ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ actor will portray Miami Metro Homicide Captain Aaron Spencer, who has been in a long-term relationship with Harry Morgan (Christian Slater) for decades.

Everything To Know About ‘Dexter’ Prequel Series
The show was initially supposed to be called ‘Dexter: Origins‘ but is now being called ‘Original Sin‘. The 1991 setting of Original Sin follows Patrick Gibson’s character, Dexter Morgan, as he turns into a vengeful serial killer while following his father Harry Morgan’s morals and advice.
The official sypnosis reads, “When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry, he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcements’ radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.”
