Following the first two seasons, NBC has chosen to scrap the relaunch of the show ‘Quantum Leap’, much like Netflix often does. The show was a reboot of the 1989 Raymond Lee sitcom, which failed to draw viewers and was the lowest-rated NBC series.
After the network canceled five of its six Dick Wolf shows earlier in the season, NBC also canceled ‘Quantum Leap’. With 18 episodes, it had made its appearance in 2022. Season 2 was reduced to 13 episodes which premiered on February 20. With a cliffhanger showing Addison Augustine (Caitlin Bassett) taking the risk and meeting Ben Song (Raymond Lee) in the past, the two-hour finale came to a close. Therefore, the show’s climax will not be addressed.
However, NBC isn’t disappointing us either. Other comedy shows have been revived such as ‘St. Denis Medical‘ for next season, ‘Lopez VS Lopez’, ‘Night Court‘, and a few other currently popular shows.

Raymond Lee and Carlin Bassett, the series’ lead actors are among those who are dissatisfied. Raymond Lee uploaded on his Instagram to express the terrible disclosure to the public. The actor shared all the positive things about the series and his pride in the two seasons. He mentioned how he wishes that the actors might get reunited someday for the possible revival of the series.
Lee wrote, “Just wanted to say a thank you to our QL fans and those who’ve tuned in. “Your support was felt and always warmly received. You all have made it the ride of a lifetime. We’re so proud of the show we made and more proud of the stories we got to tell. And selfishly for me I got to make some really awesome friends along the way. If and when another group gets a hold of the accelerator and its capabilities, may they find us floating in time, still striving to put right what once went wrong.”
Additionally, Bassett uploaded a personal message to her Instagram page. She expressed her regret to her viewers and her appreciation for the experience. The actress expressed, “So, sorry to say… farewell leapers.”
